Alison is originally from England and works in information technology for a large global company. She has lived and worked in Africa, Middle East, USA, making Australia her permanent home in 2012. She started voluntary work around refugee issues after she got her Australian citizenship in 2014. She has been a member of Rural Australians for Refugees Bendigo since 2015 and treasurer since 2019. She is the group coordinator of the RAR Bendigo CRISP team.
