Feifei Liao is a Melbourne-based creative storyteller, systems thinker, and social entrepreneur who arrived from Sichuan, China as an international student at 16, and has spent over a decade using story as a tool for belonging, advocacy, and systemic change.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of Our Point 3, Australia’s first not-for-profit improving the experiences of LGBTQIA+ international students and alumni. She is the Founder and Director of Feifei Curiosity, a social enterprise producing multidisciplinary works exploring identity, belonging, and what it truly means to be welcomed, including Beyond Identity®, which centres the stories of migrants and international students thriving beyond their labels. She is the former co-founder and Managing Director of Story is Connection, where she built one of Australia’s first organisations dedicated to bringing international students’ lived stories onto stages and screens, and co-founder of Better Acts, a tech platform connecting people and organisations for greater social impact. Across these roles, Feifei has created films, podcasts, dance and theatre performances, and participatory community exhibitions, a multidisciplinary approach that works at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and advocacy, advancing belonging, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented communities.
Her animated story of migration and belonging in Melbourne was commissioned by Museums Victoria for Culture Makers Season 3. Her work has been recognised with the Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll (2025) and Victorian International Alumnus of the Year (2020).
She believes the most powerful welcome starts with curiosity, and a story that makes the unseen seen, the unheard heard, and reminds someone they are not alone in it.
