My name is Maranda Buchanan. I am a New Zealand born, Samoan woman and I work full-time for a Safety and Industrial supplies company. From a very young age, the foundations of family, faith and service to others was embedded in my everyday life. Volunteering has always been a part of my life but for the last almost six years, I have been able to combine all three foundations as a volunteer in the State Emergency Services (SES) – looking after my immediate and surrounding communities with my orange family, driven by my faith and passion to help others.
