My name is Rodney Welch, I am an Aboriginal Man from the Narungga Nation (Blood ties with Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri Nations of South Australia)
I have twenty years’ experience in justice and social justice in the Public Sector, six years with non-government and 10 years in a self-owned consultancy business.
Majority of my work has been working alongside the Aboriginal community with a broad experience for cultural knowledge and cultural practice in Aboriginal services and projects.
My skills, capabilities and knowledge is in Community Development and Community Engagement; Program Management, Development and Coordination; Training and Assessment; Leadership; Facilitation, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, Juvenile Justice, Aboriginal Justice and Social Justice; and Aboriginal Cultural Competencies.
My current role is the Aboriginal and Cultural Diversity officer with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, which has allowed me to progress my experiences across multi-cultural groups.
